Who we are

Rugby League News Hub is a news aggregation website at rlnewshub.co.uk. We collect and display headlines and links to rugby league news from public sources. We do not store or republish full article content.

What data we collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the site:

• Newsletter subscribers only: your email address and, optionally, your name. This is only collected if you choose to subscribe to our weekly newsletter.
• Cookies: if you accept advertising cookies, Google AdSense may set cookies on your device to serve relevant ads. No advertising cookies are set without your consent.

We do not currently use Google Analytics or any other analytics platform. We do not collect IP addresses, browsing history, or any other personal data from visitors who do not subscribe.

How we use your data

• Email address: used solely to send the weekly newsletter you subscribed to. We do not use it for any other purpose.
• Advertising cookies: used by Google AdSense to serve relevant advertisements. See Google's Privacy Policy for details of how Google processes this data.

Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)

• Newsletter: consent. You opted in by submitting the subscription form and confirming your email address via a confirmation link. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any newsletter.
• Advertising cookies: consent. Cookies are only set after you accept via the cookie consent banner.

Third parties

We share data with the following third parties only:

• Google AdSense — ad serving. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• AWIN and affiliate networks — if you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, AWIN may record that a purchase was made via our link. No personal data beyond a session identifier is shared.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to processing

To exercise any of these rights, email rlnewshub@jeffersons.online. Newsletter subscribers can also unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.

Data retention

Newsletter subscriber email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. On unsubscription, your record is marked inactive and no further emails are sent. If you request full deletion, email us and we will remove your record entirely.

ICO registration

As a UK data controller collecting personal data, we are in the process of registering with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Registration is required under UK GDPR for organisations that process personal data.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "last updated" date above and notify active newsletter subscribers by email.
